A comforting baked spaghetti dish with marinara sauce, sausage, and a gooey cheese layer, perfect for family dinners and gatherings.

- 16 ounces Spaghetti noodles
- 3 cups Shredded mozzarella cheese
- 3/4 cup Grated parmesan cheese
- 2 Large eggs
- 5 tablespoons Melted unsalted butter
- 1 pound Italian turkey sausage
- 36 ounces Marinara sauce
- 1/4 cup Tomato paste
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1 medium Chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon Minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Chopped fresh basil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the spaghetti noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat a bit of oil and sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until soft.
- Add the Italian turkey sausage to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
- Stir in the marinara sauce and tomato paste; let it simmer for a few minutes and add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In a large bowl, combine the drained spaghetti, melted butter, eggs, half of the mozzarella, and half of the parmesan cheese. Mix well.
- In a large baking dish, layer half of the spaghetti mixture, all of the sauce, and finish with the remaining spaghetti. Top with the remaining mozzarella and parmesan cheeses.
- Bake for about 30 minutes or until the top is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving and garnish with chopped fresh basil.
Notes
Don’t overcook the noodles to prevent mushiness. Allow it to rest before serving for better slices.
